Shop and Coins

Coins are untitled tag game’s shop currency. They do not buy walkspeed. Rolls, vaults, and fall swings do that — Movement. What coins buy is identity: outfits, emotes, tag effects, and trails. If you came here before you can slide, go back to Getting Started and Controls. If you can already tag on purpose, this page is how you earn, redeem, and spend without feeding Robux into the wrong pass.

Open the shop with B (utg://shop). Open inventory with I (utg://inventory). Open the menu with Q. Redeem strings at utg://codes. Those four addresses are the whole economy UI. Live promo lists stay on Codes so this page does not rot when a string expires.

How coins drop

You earn coins from several loops at once:

Tagging. A typical unique tag pays about 10 coins and 5 XP. Tagging the same player again in the same round pays less or nothing. Hunt new names. A fire icon on the leaderboard is a tag streak, not a coin multiplier by itself, but streaks still pay the unique-tag coins on the way to Hot Streak (10), Blazing Trail (25), Inferno Blitz (50), and Scorched Earth (100).

Winning. A win usually pays 10 or more coins. Harder survive modes (last Bomb survivor, last Infected runner) tend to pay better than a participation Classic. The HUD is the source of truth for that round.

XP and levels. XP from tags and wins fills the bar (bottom-right on most HUDs). Each level dumps coins, and later levels dump more. AFK in a corner to “level” is slower than playing Crown badly, because you get neither tags nor wins.

World coins. On fuller servers (commonly described as more than four players), yellow coins spawn on the map. Pick them up. Double Coins (gamepass) doubles tag and pickup payouts; the stacking effect can highlight spawned coins through walls.

Codes. Promo strings pay lump sums, often in the 250–500 coin range when they are live. Redeem on Codes. Type them in utg://codes or the shop field. They expire. Do this before you buy a 400-coin trail.

Robux. utg://shop/buymore sells coin bundles, gifting, and gamepasses. Gifting needs a coin purchase first; interrupted gifts can expire after a couple of days. This is optional. The game is fully playable without it.

XP is not a separate shop

There is no XP store. XP only levels you, and levels only pay coins. Builder’s Club Lite (gamepass) adds a 10% coins-and-XP bump plus double win rewards and a couple of exclusive cosmetics. It is a convenience pass, not a movement pass. If your rolls still miss, the 10% will not save the round.

Do not confuse inventory cosmetics with items. Public rounds are not a gear RPG. Paintball and similar tools show up in specific misprints (Horde, Bloxxed Juggernaut) or admin labs, not as something you buy with coins. See Gamemodes when a card hands you a tool.

Shop tabs and rotations

utg://shop has Featured, Outfits, Emotes, Tag Effects, Trails, and Buy More.

  • Outfits change the character model. Useful if you want to read as a joke in Disguised Classic; useless for walkspeed.
  • Emotes are G / hold G. More Emotes (gamepass) adds wheel slots (four extra, plus stacking for even more). Emoting in a chase is a free tag.
  • Tag effects change how victims ragdoll. Loud effects can hide your own landing. Equip something quiet until rolls are consistent.
  • Trails draw a beam while you run. They look fast. They are not fast.

The shop rotates. Daily rotation for the main catalog is the usual description; Featured is slower (about every three days). Items that leave the shop go off-sale, not deleted. You keep what you already bought. They can return. Do not panic-buy a mid trail because the timer is red unless you actually like it.

Event shops (Hallows, Holiday 2025 MERRYTAGMAS, collabs with Combat Initiation, DOORS, Slap Battles, Halloween Spotlight, Hunt Mega Edition) inject themed cosmetics for a patch. Buy those only if you care about the theme. They will not make Crossroads easier. Maps still wants high ground.

Equip in utg://inventory. If a new outfit blocks your camera in first person, swap back before you blame Controls.

Codes, every session

Codes are the only “free lump” that does not need a tag. Session habit:

  1. Join (Welcome Recode is the join badge, not a coin).
  2. Qutg://codes.
  3. Paste from Codes, one at a time.
  4. Then play the vote. Do not stand in spawn redeeming while a Classic round starts.

If a code fails, it is expired, mistyped, or already used. This page will not list strings, because strings die and the Codes hub is the live table.

Gamepasses, ranked by actually helping

All of these are Robux, one-time, and they carry from Legacy if you already owned them there. Buying both Legacy and Recode copies can unlock a stacking effect.

Triple Votes (~299 Robux). Your map and mode votes count as three. This is the pass that changes public servers. Stacking can glitch-preview misprints. If you care about Gamemodes and Maps picks, this is the one. If you do not vote, skip it.

Double Coins (~500 Robux). Doubles coins from tags and pickups. Stacking highlights world coins. Buy this when you already tag unique players and are tired of saving for outfits. Do not buy it to “catch up” if you still repeat-tag one victim for reduced rewards.

Builder’s Club Lite (~350 Robux). 10% coins and XP, double win rewards, exclusive crown-ish cosmetics. A win-rate pass. Useful if you already win Bomb and Infected sometimes.

Binoculars (~75 Robux). Hold E (or the mobile button) to zoom, scroll / pinch to scale. Stacking adds chrome and a light. Fun on big maps, optional for tagging. Looking through binoculars during a chase is how you get tagged.

More Emotes (~250 Robux). Extra wheel slots. Pure cosmetics. Buy it if you actually use G between rounds.

Popups after a vote will try to sell Triple Vote. That is not a penalty. Close it and play. Moderators and developers may show all pass perks; you will not.

What to buy first

Spend in this order unless you hate fun:

  1. Redeem every live string on Codes.
  2. Play until you can roll and vault without thinking (Movement).
  3. Buy one cheap trail or emote you will not regret when Featured rotates — a marker for “this account is mine,” not a stat stick.
  4. Save for an outfit you actually like during an event, not a panic Featured.
  5. Only then consider Triple Vote if you are tired of losing map votes, or Double Coins if you already farm unique tags.

Do not buy cosmetics to intimidate. Good players read your momentum, not your beam. A peasant in the default shirt who can high-vault will still steal the crown on Glass Houses. A tagger with a legendary tag effect who cannot slide cancel will still miss. Use Players as a taste board for outfits if you want, and the tier list as a vote board, not as a shop list.

Between purchases, keep tagging new people, winning the mode you voted, and grabbing world coins on Bloxburg-sized maps. That loop funds the shop faster than AFK and faster than Robux panic. When a collab week dumps new trails, ignore them until the current round ends. The economy is patient. The fuse on Bomb is not.

If you remember one sentence from this page: B is shop, I is inventory, Q is codes, and none of them replace C. Earn coins by playing the recode place (14044547200) correctly, redeem codes so you are not broke, and spend on looks after the parkour is yours. That is the whole shop guide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I earn coins in untitled tag game?

Tag unique players (about 10 coins and 5 XP), win rounds (10+), level up, pick up map coins, and redeem codes. Repeat-tagging the same player pays less.

Where is the shop and how do I redeem codes?

Press B for utg://shop, I for inventory, Q for the menu, and open utg://codes to redeem. Live strings are listed on Codes, not in chat.

Do trails or outfits make me faster?

No. Cosmetics are visual. Speed comes from rolls, vaults, and swings on Movement. Buy looks after the tech is comfortable.

Is Triple Vote worth it?

If you care about map and mode votes, yes — your ballot counts three times, and stacking can hint at misprints. If you never vote, skip it. See Gamemodes and Maps.

What does Double Coins actually double?

Tag payouts and coins you pick up on the map. It does not double every win bonus by itself. Builder’s Club Lite is the pass that leans on win rewards and XP.

Should I buy the Featured item before it rotates?

Only if you like it. Off-sale items are kept if you already own them and can return later. Redeem codes first so you are not spending Robux on a 400-coin impulse trail.
