untitled tag game Guides Hub
How to play, how not to get tagged, how to win, and how to learn movement.
untitled tag game is an online parkour tag experience by _create on Roblox (place 14044547200). Recode opened on 26 December 2023 and dropped the recode name on 24 March 2025. The 2021 Legacy place is a different game. This hub is the reading map for players who search how to play, how not to get tagged, how to win, and how to learn movement.
Public servers hold up to 40 players. Maps last two rounds, then the lobby votes. Each round you pick among three gamemodes. A rare misprint can twist the chosen map or mode. Movement is the real skill ceiling: W runs, C slides on the ground, C just before landing rolls, Space at a ledge vaults, Space on a bar swings, and jump-to-grab catches ziplines. Checker walls wallrun. Rails grind, and a roll on a rail railflings. Tagpads on Craigville and Bloxburg launch you. Smashable parts open shortcuts.
Tag with left mouse on PC or a tap on mobile. A typical tag pays about 10 coins and 5 XP. Repeat-tagging the same player in a round pays less. No Tag Back has a visible cooldown timer (added 30 August 2026). Wins usually pay 10 or more coins. Spend them in the shop on trails, emotes, outfits, and tag effects.
If you just installed the game, start with Getting Started. If inputs feel wrong, open Controls. If you keep losing chases, jump to Movement. If a vote card confuses you, read Gamemodes. If you cannot read a layout in two rounds, use Maps. If you want cosmetics without wasting coins, see Shop and Coins. Active rewards live on Codes. For mode and map picks, check the tier list. For notable players and creator pages, browse Players.
How to play
A session is a loop, not a campaign. You join a live server, vote, spawn with a role, chase or flee, then vote again. You do not pick a loadout. Your tools are the map, the role speeds, and your parkour timing.
The first hour is about three habits:
- Vote instead of AFK. A mode you understand is easier than a random misprint.
- Hold flow. Sliding into a wall and stopping is slower than a short vault or a committed slide through a gap.
- Tag with intent. In Classic you swap roles. In Infected you convert. In Bomb you pass a timer. In Crown you steal or keep an item. The same click means different wins.
Read Getting Started for the join, vote, role, and first-coin loop, then come back here when you want a specialist page.
How not to get tagged
Runners lose when they sprint in a straight line at ground height. Taggers read that line and cut it. Break the line:
- Change height. Vault a ledge, ride a zipline, or drop to a swing bar so the chase has to re-path.
- Change direction after a slide. Camera-look during the slide, then get up into a new heading.
- Use No Tag Back. After you tag, the victim cannot instantly return the tag. Use that window to leave the area, not to stand still.
- Hide in geometry that costs a vault. A tagger who has to high-vault to follow you often mistimes the click.
Movement covers slide cancel, roll timing, fall swing, railfling, and jukes. Maps explains why Crossroads and Glass Houses punish players who ignore high ground, swing bars, and ziplines.
How to win
Winning is role-specific. Classic wants you off the tagger team when the timer ends. Bomb wants the bomb off you when it explodes, then last survivor. Crown wants the crown on your head. Infected runners want to be last; infected want the lobby converted. Freeze is a save-and-hunt mode. Chaos mixes roles in one round. Free-For-All, Juggernaut, Slasher, Team Deathmatch, and Team Swap each change the click into elimination or team conversion. Limited cards such as Royal FFA and The Storm appear only some weeks. Toxic began as an event and still returns in limited or private-server form.
Misprints are the swing factor. Hot Potato, Funny Bomb, RNG Bomb, Subspace Bomb, Nuke, Speed Classic, Guarded Crown, Solo Crown, Horde, Medic Infected, Mutant Infected, Don’t Blink, and Witch Hunt all reuse a familiar card with a new rule. Triple Vote (gamepass) makes your ballot count three times; the stacking effect can hint that a card is a misprint. Full rules sit on Gamemodes.
How to learn movement
Do not grind cosmetics first. Grind timing. The useful order is:
- Slide on flat ground and through gaps (Controls lists C / crouch button / console equivalents).
- Roll just before landing for a +9 to +22 walkspeed burst. Late rolls give less. The Roll Expert achievement is the drill.
- Vault every ledge you would otherwise jump. Ladder spam is vault spam. High vaults happen when your head is under the lip.
- Swing on bars. A fall swing converts vertical speed into horizontal speed; two of those unlock Gymnast.
- Jump to grab ziplines. Ride them to the end for Hot Pursuit, or drop early to cut a chase.
- Wallrun checker walls. Railgrind, then roll for a railfling.
Movement is the tech page. Use it after you can complete a round without forgetting how to slide.

- Shop and Coins — XP, cosmetics, codes, gamepasses.
- Achievements Guide — public-server badges; they do not drop in private servers.
- Tagpads Guide — April 2026 3x3 launch pads on Craigville and friends.
- First to the Token — SEEYOUSOON quest, not a coin dump.\n- Best Settings — FOV, third person, camera shake, NTB outlines, mobile auto-jump.\n- No Tag Back — the shield after a tag, the August 2026 timer, and the leave window.\n\nAlso keep Codes bookmarked. New strings expire. The tier list is for vote advice, not for pretending one mode is the only mode. Players is for creators and standout names, not for copying a movement style you cannot time yet.
Collabs and seasonal events (Combat Initiation, DOORS, Slap Battles, Halloween Spotlight, Hunt Mega Edition, Hallows 2024 with Bloodburg, Holiday 2025 MERRYTAGMAS) rotate maps and cosmetics. When an event is live, treat the event layout as a new map: high ground still wins, but the props change.
Suggested reading order
New players should not open every page at once. Play one public round, then read Getting Started and redeem anything listed on Codes. Next session, keep Controls open while you rebind muscle memory for C and Space. After you can roll on purpose, study Movement and spend two maps only on height changes. Once roles stop surprising you, use Gamemodes during votes and Maps during the two-round window. Spend coins last, using Shop and Coins, so cosmetics do not distract you from timing. That order is how this hub turns a confusing lobby into a readable game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where should a new untitled tag game player start?
Open Getting Started for the first session, then Controls if the keys feel wrong. Claim anything on Codes before you shop.
How do I stop getting tagged immediately?
How do I actually win a round?
Win conditions change by mode. Classic wants you as a runner at the end; Bomb wants the bomb off you; Crown wants the crown. Gamemodes lists each rule set and the common misprints.
What is the fastest way to learn movement?
Is this the same game as the 2021 Legacy place?
No. This wiki covers the recode experience on place 14044547200, released 26 December 2023. Legacy is a separate place. Cosmetics and some gamepasses can carry over, but the maps and tech are recode.
Where do coins, codes, and the shop fit in?
Tags and wins pay coins and XP. Redeem strings on Codes, then spend in Shop and Coins. Movement skill still decides rounds more than trails.
