How to Win

untitled tag game does not have one win screen. The vote card you click decides whether a tag swaps you, converts you, freezes you, or deletes you from the round. Panic sprinting in a straight line at ground height loses every version. Route quality — height, a planned exit, and a leave window after No Tag Back — is the actual skill. Pair this page with Movement for the inputs, Gamemodes for the rule sheet, and Maps for where those routes live.

A typical tag still pays about 10 coins and 5 XP. Repeat-tagging the same name pays less. Wins usually pay 10 or more coins. None of that replaces the HUD sentence. If you cannot say the win condition out loud before the round starts, you are practicing the wrong click.

Classic: be a runner at the buzzer

Classic is taggers versus runners. A tag swaps the roles. You win if you are a runner when the timer hits zero. You do not win by collecting the most tags. You do not win by farming the same victim in a courtyard. If you spawn as a tagger, dump the role on someone already committed to a dead-end, then immediately play runner: leave the lane, change height, and stop staring at the person you just clicked.

No Tag Back is the leave tool. Since 30 August 2026 a timer sits next to the shield icon. After you tag, that window is for distance, not for dancing. Stand on the victim and they click you the instant the timer ends. Use the seconds to vault, zipline, swing, or tagpad out. The shield is not a pose. It is a clock.

Flawless (never a tagger, including at spawn) is a gold achievement, not the default lesson. First, survive as whoever you are at 0:00. Split away from other runners so one tagger cannot farm a pile. Ground W-holds on Crossroads grass are content, not a plan.

Bomb: pass it, then be last

Bomb hands a fuse to a few players. Tag a runner to pass the bomb. When the fuse hits zero, holders explode. The cycle repeats until one survivor remains. Win by not holding the bomb at boom, then by being that last body.

Do not 1v1 a bomber in a closet. Take a pass angle that still leaves you an exit: a zipline dump, a swing, a pad. A beautiful fall swing that takes two seconds too long will kill you. Dance with Death (tagged twice in one Bomb round and still alive at the end) is greedy practice. Survivor (last Bomb runner) is the gold stamp. Hot Potato and Funny Bomb misprints shrink the fuse — parkour faster, do not camp.

Crown: keep it on your head

Crown holders score by still wearing it. Peasants steal by tagging. Height is the whole mode. A crown on a Glass Houses roof with two exits beats a crown in a courtyard brawl. If you steal, your brain flips from hunter to keepaway: name the next roof before you click.

Crown by Technicality is stealing with three seconds or less on the clock. That is a timing badge, not a round plan. For the round itself, hold space you can leave. Camper crowns donate the item. Solo Crown funnels the lobby onto one head; Guarded Crown adds protection. Read the card. Then take a pad or a zip instead of 1v20 on the floor.

Infected: last runner, or convert the lobby

Infected starts with patient zero. Tags convert. Infected win if nobody is left unconverted. Runners win by surviving the timer. Lone Survivor is last runner — platinum, and it is a movement exam, not a closet exam. Camping without an eject (zipline, tagpad, smashable, swing bar) is how you get cornered.

If you are infected, cover different lanes. Stacking the same Crossroads stairs lets runners live on the other side of the map. If you are a runner, split. A pile in the park is a buffet. Mid-round joins often spawn infected, so a late fill can flip a hold. Keep moving until 0:00, then celebrate.

Freeze: thaw is the job

Freeze taggers freeze runners; teammates thaw them. Savior (thaw eight frozen players in one round) is the support achievement and a real win lever: a stylish juke that ignores a decaying teammate loses the round. Do not chase a freeze across the map if a thaw is happening behind you. Guard frozen bodies if you are the freezer; extra chips delay the save. Frozen at the buzzer is not a win. Team Freeze recolors the same loop.

Competitive, Chaos, and FFA

Competitive is lives. You are not swapping forever; you are spending a hit count. Quick Competitive often drops lives further and shortens the last-life timer. Play cleaner 1v1s. Do not throw a last life on a revenge click during No Tag Back. Isolate, tag, leave.

Chaos assigns mixed roles from other modes in one round. Read your own HUD. You might be a bomber next to a crown next to infected. Your neighbor’s objective is not yours. Second Chance (tag a crown as oof in Chaos) is the revive badge; it is not a reason to throw your first life. Chaos is a poor first vote and a great third-hour vote. Rank it on the gamemode tier list as a party card, not a rank night.

Free-For-All is elimination energy. There is no safe runner identity. Everyone can tag everyone. Last-alive or high tag count, depending on the HUD. Darwin Award (cannon yourself in FFA on Glass Houses) is a joke badge; winning FFA is cutting landings, not standing in the middle swinging. Take inside lines. Roll the landing. Do not parade the same zipline.

Route quality over panic sprint

Every mode above still uses the same body. Hold W is the floor. Winning is changing height in the first second of a chase:

  1. Vault or pad instead of a long ground slide the tagger can pre-aim.
  2. Fall swing off a roof so you do not arrive on the plaza at zero speed.
  3. Zipline only if the hunter is not already on the cable.
  4. After a tag, spend the No Tag Back timer leaving. The 30 August 2026 timer is a clock you can read; use it.
  5. Scout the map on round one (maps last two rounds). Name a roof, a bar, a line. Round two is the exam.

Vote the mode whose win sentence you can say out loud. If two cards are Chaos and FFA and one is Classic, Classic is the learning pick. If you already have a crown streak, Crown is the ego pick. Pair runner habits with the runner guide and chase craft with the tagger guide. Movement still decides who is in range to click.

Winning public untitled tag game is not a hidden combo. It is matching the card: runner at 0:00, bomb off you at boom, crown on you, last unconverted, thaw duty done, lives remaining, Chaos prompt obeyed, FFA last standing. Then take the route that still exists after the click. That is the whole list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I win Classic in untitled tag game?

Be a runner when the timer hits zero. Tags swap you with a tagger. After a click, spend No Tag Back leaving. See How to Win and runner.

What does the No Tag Back timer change?

Since 30 August 2026 the shield shows a cooldown clock. Use that window to leave, not to stand on the victim. Movement notes sit on Movement.

How do Bomb, Crown, and Infected wins differ?

Bomb: last survivor after passing the fuse. Crown: still wearing it. Infected: last runner, or convert the lobby. Full rules are on Gamemodes.

How do I win Freeze or Competitive?

Freeze: thaw teammates and do not leave frozen bodies unguarded. Competitive: keep lives; a tag spends a hit. Rank flavor is on the gamemode tier list.

Why do I lose even when I sprint faster?

Straight ground lines are readable. Change height with vaults, swings, ziplines, and pads. Scout those lines on Maps and cut them as a tagger.
